Amp1
"Used as a pure headphone station for late-night listening and connected to the Luxman D-06 via the Mogami stereo-to-mini cable, the results went beyond all expectations. The transparency of the Amp1 helped me to appreciate the enormous potential of the Luxman player. Compared to the headphone output of the Luxman L-590 AII integrated amplifier however, I preferred the RW Audio for its greater transparency and accuracy." Joel Chevassus, 6moons.com
To put this into perspective the Luxman L-590 AII is an integrated amplifier weighing in at 66.25LBS and costing ~$9000, yet RW Audio Amp1 weighting in at 1.5LBS and costing $195* comes out on top in this David Vs Goliath matchup.

Design:
- Amp1 was designed mainly using AKG K601's for listening tests, because of this it has a wonderful synergy with AKG even more so the K601/K701/K702 Family.
- Further testing was done with Alessandro MS1's, Grado HF-2's, Sennheiser HD650's, PX100's along with vintage AKG K240 Sextetts and Monitors.
- Amp1+HF-2 is a hit or miss combination, sounding better than almost all other headphones on some tracks while leaving you reaching for the skip button on others.
- Has a nice synergy with all other headphones I've tried, and from customers using a wide variety of brands and models.
- Works equally well driving 32ohm through 600ohm headphones.
- Designed to integrate into your home or office computer station using a line in from your pc and providing a preamp output to your powered computer speakers, simply plug in your headphones and without swapping cables the speakers are muted and your headphones provide a wonderful listening experience.
- Makes an excellent and affordable upgrade to all internal and external PC/Mac sound cards and usb dacs.
